Programming.school is launching a new adult education course - Data Analysis from Zero to Hero - and is opening a recruitment of teachers to become part of the school's team in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is an opportunity to join an educational project that is building a serious IT education infrastructure in Vietnam under the leadership of programming.school founder Sergey Shedov. We are looking for professionals who are not just good at statistics and data analysis, but who can explain complex concepts in a way that students understand not only the "how" but also the "why".
Who we are
Programming.school is an educational school that works with children and adults to provide fundamental IT education (Vietnamese branch of programming.school). We don't just teach how to use tools. We teach how to understand how concepts work, why they work the way they do, and how to apply them to real-world tasks.
Our approach is based on systematic, project-based and industry-connectedness. We have opened our own training center in downtown Ho Chi Minh City and are actively expanding our product line from programs for high school students to professional courses for adults.
The "Data Analysis from Zero to Hero" course is part of our strategy to become the leading IT education school in Vietnam. We are creating a program that teaches how to apply statistics and data analysis to solve real business problems: evaluate metrics, test hypotheses, make predictions, and make data-driven decisions.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for faculty with strong expertise in data analysis and statistics who:
Understand the business application of statistics
You have worked with business metrics, analyzed data for decision making, and understand how statistics helps solve real-world problems for companies.
Have a math background
Preferably Statistics, but any math background with a strong understanding of statistical methods will do.
Have a mastery of basic and advanced data analysis tools:
- Descriptive statistics
- Statistical tests (regression analysis, comparison tests, correlation analysis, non-parametric tests)
- Hypothesis testing
- Prediction
- Advanced level of work in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel (formulas, working with Data menus, summary tables, visualization)
- Experience with BI tools (Google Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Experience with specialized statistical software (Stata, SPSS, JASP, gretl, etc.)
Able to explain and motivate
Teaching is not just retelling material. We are looking for people who can make complex things understandable, adapt explanations to the level of the group, support students in the learning process and inspire them to move forward.
Working Conditions
Format: Full-time or Part-time
Depending on your availability and preferences.
Schedule:
Specific hours of work will depend on your schedule, which we will coordinate based on the needs of the school and your preferences.
Your tasks
Conducting classes
You will teach face-to-face classes in our training center and online classes via Zoom. All training materials are already prepared - you won't need to create them from scratch.
Communication with students
Support students in group chats throughout the course, answering questions, helping with practice problems.
Adaptation of materials (optional)
If a group requires a special approach or additional explanations, you will be able to adapt the materials to the characteristics of the specific group.
Mentoring and task checking
Supervision of practical tasks and individualized mentoring of students. We strive to give the most personalized support to each student.
