In October 2022, Programming.school Vietnam took a decisive step towards building a world-class educational ecosystem. To ensure the deep adaptation of our curriculum and the fine-tuning of learning processes, the school’s core methodology group, led by Chief Product Officer (CPO) Ruslan Abkadirov, relocated to Ho Chi Minh City.
High-quality IT education is never just a set of textbooks or translated videos. It is a living process that must account for the cultural code, specific information processing habits, and the local context of the students. That is why we refused to blindly copy foreign programs. Instead, we brought the experts here to adapt them on the ground.

Why Adaptation Matters
Sergey Shedov, the founder of Programming.school Vietnam, is convinced: for a student to truly engage with programming, they must understand how to apply this knowledge in their own life, here and now.
"We are not engaged in the simple translation of educational materials from English to Vietnamese. We are translating meanings. Examples, tasks, lesson structures—everything must be close and understandable to our students" — comments Sergey Shedov.

The relocation of the methodology team team was driven by specific, high-level goals designed to serve the Vietnamese market broadly:
- Defining Educational Trajectories: Creating clear paths for different segments of our target audience—from school children discovering code for the first time, to university students and young professionals seeking to upgrade their skills for the modern IT workforce.
- Setting Local Standards: Establishing rigorous teaching standards that align with both international best practices and local educational expectations.
- Deep Localization: rigorous reworking of Programming.school Vietnam materials to ensure every project and case study is relevant to the local economy and technology landscape.
